It has been 22 years since we launched La Caracola, 19 years since we presented the Moon recliner, and 16 years since the Lenny armchair came up. Like its predecessors, Mondrian is an armchair that has the right design to become a Fama iconic piece.
With the Mondrian armchair, our aim was to design a very light armchair, but also an armchair which could ergonomically adapt to the shape of the body in order to provide more comfort. We also thought about people with different heights. Therefore, we offer two different heights for this armchair, 42 and 47 cm.
We have designed a flexible system on the headrest area, so when you lay backwards, you do not feel the hardness of the metal or wooden frame. Its most important feature is that Mondrian is a recliner chair, even though it does not look like one.
At the moment it is only available in the manual relax version, and it offers two different positions: the first one is an upright position, which is just perfect to watch TV, read, etc.. and the second position is laying down with the feet up at the same level as the heart, which favours a heart-healthy position.
The most important thing is that it offers great comfort. Above all, it has such a light design when is closed that no one could say it is a recliner chair. The new mechanism with motor will be coming soon.
