Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy (“Warranty”) is issued by Famaliving Montreal (“Famaliving”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a franchise of Fama Sofás, Spain. This Warranty covers products purchased at Famaliving Montreal and is subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.

1. Quality Commitment

Famaliving Montreal upholds the highest standards of quality in design, materials, and craftsmanship. All our products are manufactured according to processes certified under ISO 9001 by AENOR-IQNET. Our raw materials are sourced with strict quality control and compliance with international standards.

We are committed to honesty and transparency. In the rare event a problem arises, Famaliving Montreal pledges to address and resolve it promptly and professionally.

2. Scope of Warranty

This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. The Warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required to validate any claim.

3. Warranty Activation

The Warranty for “All Other Components” is automatically extended by six (6) months if the purchaser completes the online registration within thirty (30) days of delivery. Registration can be completed at activation page.

4. Exclusions

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from improper use, abuse, accidents, negligence, or commercial use.

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to pilling, fading, wrinkling, or softening of cushions and filling materials.

  • Defects caused by improper cleaning, maintenance, or use of chemical cleaning products.

  • Variation in leather or fabric dye lots and natural imperfections.

  • Damage due to exposure to direct sunlight, heat, or humidity.

  • Floor samples or clearance items, which are sold “as-is” unless otherwise specified in writing.

  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

5. Claim Procedure

To make a claim under this Warranty, the original purchaser must:

  1. Notify Famaliving Montreal in writing at info@famaliving.ca within thirty (30) days of discovering the defect.

  2. Provide proof of purchase and photographs of the defect.

  3. Allow Famaliving Montreal or its authorized representatives to inspect the product.

6. Remedies

At our discretion, Famaliving Montreal will:

  • Repair the defective product, or

  • Replace the defective product with the same or comparable model, or

  • Provide a pro-rated refund based on the length of use.

Repairs or replacements do not extend the original Warranty period.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Famaliving Montreal shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages. Our liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product.

8. Governing Law

This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
